More finds…

I have been rather busy this past week with preparing for a craft show and preparing myself for my cousin’s wedding, so I’ve been slacking at finding you more Minnesota Etsy finds.   So, to make up for my absence, I will post two handmade finds today!

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11525751

My first find is this sweet little apple pin from www.pinksparrow.etsy.com .  I really like how Pink Sparrow used a calm light blue for the apple over the traditional red.  This sweet little pin would make a great addition to anyones fall wordrobe!  Pink Sparrow has many, many pretty felt pins in her shop to choose from (I also like the zinnia pins!!), plus other bright and cheery jewelry!

My second find, I assure you, will make you terribly hungry!  I found these delectable cupcake soaps at www.yougogirlsoaps.etsy.com.  Just looking at this cupcake soap, makes my mouth water and my stumache growel!!!  Oh!  I could just eat it!!!!!!  Okay, I’m calm now….  This cupcake soap and You Go Girl Soap’s many other yummy products would make PERFECT birthday, Christmas, Hostess, and, of course, “pamper yourself” gifts! Yummy!

These elegant “Sweet Song Bird Tags” are from Mrs. Kwitty’s Cottage ( www.misseskwittys.etsy.com), another very talented Minnesota crafter.  These tags come in a set of four and are perfect for any time of the year.  Tag weddings gifts in the spring or use them for Christmas gifts in the winter!

Mrs. Kwitty’s Cottages sells a lot of gorgeous paper goods and sewn items.  You could spend hours browsing her shop!  Please take a look!

Go Green with this cute tote!

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=14260090

Today’s handmade find from Minnesota is this cute reusable tote from www.hippopotamusgifts.etsy.com.  Made of green twill fabric and sturdily sewn, it’s the perfect bag for the market, library, beach, and an all around great carry-all bag!  I just love this color, and the embroidered white vine is an excellent touch!  Very eco-friendly for shopping; no more of those nasty plastic bags to take home!  Be sure to check out Hippopotamus Gifts for cute bags, scarfs, and other great gift ideas for the upcoming Holidays.

It’s September!!!

This month I will be featuring items from Minnesota Etsy members, in honor of my home State and 150 years of Minnesota Statehood!!!  Yay!  Three cheers for Minnesota!!!

It was a rather cold and rainy day today, the smell of fall approching is in the air.  This unique snail necklace from www.greensquirrel.etsy.com is my pick of the day.  Seeing this warm rich colored pendant with the serene little snail, brightened my glum, rainy day!   GreenSquirrel has so many unique and beautiful necklaces and rings!  I love her use of vintage buttons, it brings me back to the days of digging through my Grandma’s big tin of old buttons.  Enjoy!

A little decorating….

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=14624203

These are SO beautiful!  I found these gorgeous posies at www.autumntomay.etsy.com.  The warm vintage charm from the vintage postcard petals makes me thing of crisp fall leaves!  Ah!  Fall… crisp colorful leaves, the cool fresh air, snuggly warm sweaters, hot apple cider….  These posies would look so cute, and be the perfect fall arrangement, if you displayed them in an old glass vase, with a few mini pumpkins and some fall barries garland around them!!

Autumn to May’s shop is filled with gorgeous things.  You are sure to find something to fit your fancy!  Enjoy!

Get organized

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13533057

Today’s find are these pretty oilcloth zip pouches from www.simplyjune.etsy.com .  This set has three different sized pouches in three different beautiful, bold prints.  Being they are made of oilcloth, they will wipe clean when dirty, which is great for your purse/backpack (especially for those of you out there who are like me, and throw a few chocolate kisses in your purse for a chocolate emergancy, to find them later on, all melted unto all the little loose things in you bag!  These pouches are sure to keep your things clean and safe).

SimplyJune has such a sweet shop!  I urge you to browse around and check everything out (so many cute things!).  I especially like those embroidered buttons.  What a great way to add a unique touch to your craft projects!

HOOT!!

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11925249

Aren’t these little owls the cutest!?  I found them on www.fruitflypie.etsy.com.  These would look so cute on a desk or book shelf!  I like how Fruitflypie tells about the process of each ceramic piece.  There are so many beautiful ceramic pieces on her shop, most are vintage inspired, which I love!  Check out that pink frog scrubby holder (it reminds me of a green one my grandma had), or that retro hippo planter, OR those sweet cupcake cookie jars!!  There are so many things to look at on Fruitflypie’s shop (a lot of Christmas gift potential there!).  Check it out!

My First Handmade Find!

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=14229972

Ah, my blog’s first treasure!  These beautiful, yet practical and eco-friendly clothe napkins were found at www.zemphira.etsy.com.  The napkins measure 17.5″ by 17.5″ and are made with Amy Butler “Martini” fabric.  I love how Zemphira ties the 4 pack with a strip of clothe.  Cute touch!  These make really good hostess gifts (something to be thinking about with the holidays approaching), house warming gifts, and wedding/wedding shower gifts.  I bought some for a wedding gift for my cousin and they turned out great!  Zemphira does a GREAT job with custom orders!  There is also a set of Bamboo napkins on the same shop, making them ultra eco-friendly.  Check ‘em out!
